Well, yes and no. Some vacuum companies intentionally boost the loudness of their product so it is perceive as a stronger suction, just like in parallel to intentionally including delays into a product. Not sure if it is possible to make a mental shift on the users to accept that there's no correlation between accuracy vs speed or (sound vs effectiveness to suck dust). And in a way people has accepted it when searching on google, they expect a speedy return result and yet they trust the first top ten returns fully (people seldom navigate to 2nd page)
